Who: Veronica Pugin
Where: Pluto’s

One of my favorite restaurants at Santana Row

I always get the same salad. Farmer greens with roasted red bell peppers, corn, broccoli, mushrooms, walnuts, kidney beans, and garbanzo beans. With foccaccia! Yum.

Veronica ordered a sandwich – she said the sausage in it was the closest thing she had to those in Chile – that’s pretty cool.

Chomp.

Mi chilena favorita!

Who: Sneha Jain
Where: Zeni Ethiopian

There are not many people who are willing to eat Ethiopian with me; fortunately, I have Sneha Jain!

We ordered the vegetarian platter. So good.

Injera bread. You may remember this from my last Ethiopian food post, here.

Gorgeous =)

Who: Mi Hermana, Naomi
Where: Pork Store Cafe (Mission District, SF)

Silly sister who doesn’t like being in my pictures. Pork store cafe is definitely one of my favorite cafes ever.

Naomi ordered a sandwich on sourdough bread – it has caramelized onions and a veggie burger in it. It’s almost like a vegetarian version of a reuben (the caramelized onions would double as the sauerkraut). It was delicious; even I can vouch for that.

I ordered the garden veggie burger. So good. Melted jack cheese, onions, alfalfa sprouts (my fave), a heaping glop of avocado, tomatoes, and a veggie patty smack dab between two buns.

Just a bit voracious.

Must contemplate the delicacies of life.

Spot on…

We also ordered a single pancake, just to try it out. One of the best pancakes I have ever had, if not THE best. Crispy on the outside, perfectly light and fluffy on the inside. I didn’t even eat it with syrup – just plain.

Cleaned out.

Maybe you remember my mural posts from before. #1 & #2.

Should I be smiling? (I’m carrying a great big bag of Mexican bread – YUM!)

Who: Ayushi Gummadi
Where: Holder’s Country Inn

This girl is amazing. Once, in Japan, she locked me out of our room and then two great big Japanese men had to break the door down and the teachers thought she died. Oh yeah, you know, everyday things that happen with friends.

We both had cold organic cereal with fruit! As well as scrambled egg whites and whole wheat toast (mine with orange marmalade). A healthy breakfast!

Who: Jennifer Whang
Where: Holder’s Country Inn

I went back to Country Inn with Jenn!

She had a yummy-looking order of eggs benedict.

I had a garden omelette souffle. It also came with hash browns.

It also came with pancakes (huge breakfast). I ate the pancakes with orange marmalade of course.

Who: Heidi Wang
Where: Stacks

So I was supposed to eat with Heidi on Tuesday but I totally stood her up. My bad. It was pretty terrible of me (I did it accidentally, I swear!). Anyway, she’d rather me take a picture of her water than her beautiful face.

Why you have quite lovely hands, Heidi dear!

Friends since we were 2 years old. I used to build forts out of chairs and blankets at her house. We are going to school in Boston together! (She’s going to Wellesley). Wahoo, hurrah for lifelong friendships!

Ooo delicioso.

“I don’t like butter!”

Realize that this is not a face she purposely made – it is her look of chewing and eating. Haha.

See the face again? It’s great.

I was boring and ordered granola with soymilk and bananas. Which is basically what I have everyday at home (but with like three different types of cereal, muesli, and trail mix). It is probably because I totally felt like a zombie from last night.
So basically, I love friends and food! Eat breakfast with me!
